Helen Parsley has worked as a professional artist for more than twenty years, having originally trained in illustration at Manchester University. Her paintings are wonderfully realistic, which is achieved through experience and intuition. In recent years Helen turned to landscapes, seascapes and wild life, these have generated an enormous response from the art world. Following trips to Paris, one of her favourite cities, Helen has been deeply influenced by the works of French Impressionists. |

At first glance Helen's paintings look photographic but on closer inspection she uses loose painting and textures combined with precise detail to create an illusion. She says, “I feel fortunate in being able to earn a living doing exactly what I love doing”. This positive attitude is reflected in her work. |

Steven McLoughlin, the supporting artist, works in acrylic and watercolour. His new work reflects the Derbyshire countryside around him. Landscapes are his main focus although he has just been commissioned to paint a series of dog pictures. Click Here to see more about Steven. |
